Privacy Policy — AstroWOW / SunMoonAs

1. Who we are

This service (the SunMoonAs card and the Character & Destiny report, at sunmoonas.com) is operated by Astrowow ApS, Fredericagade 38, 2. sal, 6000 Kolding, Denmark. CVR: DK 35512934. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

2. What data we collect

• Birth details — your name, and your date, time, and place of birth. We use these to calculate your astrological chart and generate your reading. (These are ordinary personal data; we do not collect special-category data such as health, religion, or ethnicity.)
• Email address — to deliver your card and report and, where you've agreed, to send you related emails.
• Payment information — when you buy a report, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number; we receive confirmation of payment and basic order details (amount, currency, a transaction reference).
• Order records — for purchases: your email, the report bought, price and currency, the payment reference, and a link to your generated report, so we can deliver it, re-send it, handle receipts and refunds, and provide support.
• Technical data — standard information your browser sends (e.g. IP address) and any analytics or cookies described in Section 8.

3. How we use your data, and our legal basis

• To calculate your chart and produce your reading — necessary to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). This includes generating the free card/2-page reading and, if purchased, the full Character & Destiny report.
• To deliver your report and let you access it later — performance of a contract.
• To take payment and keep accounting records — performance of a contract and compliance with our legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c); Danish bookkeeping/VAT law).
• To send you marketing or follow-up emails — only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), or, for existing customers, on the basis of our legitimate interest in telling you about closely related products (Art. 6(1)(f)). You can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email.
• To provide support and handle refunds — performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in running the service well.

4. How your reading is generated (AI)

Your report text is composed with the help of an AI language model provided by Anthropic. The astrological data derived from your birth details (not your name or email) is sent to Anthropic solely to generate your reading. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, this data is not used to train their models and is retained only briefly for operational and safety purposes before deletion. We include this so you know an automated system helps write your report — a human (Adrian) designed and reviews the interpretive library it draws on.

5. Who we share your data with

We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") who handle data only on our instructions:

• Stripe — payment processing.
• Kit (ConvertKit) — email delivery and our mailing list.
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Neon / Supabase via Vercel and Vercel Blob — secure storage of order records and generated reports.
• Anthropic — AI generation of the report text (see Section 4).
• Google Places — to convert your birth place into coordinates for the chart calculation.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for others' marketing.

International transfers. Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the provider's Data Privacy Framework certification).

6. How long we keep it

• Free card / reading: we keep the email and the birth details you provided for as long as you remain subscribed; you can unsubscribe and request deletion at any time.
• Purchased reports and order records: retained so you can re-access your report and for us to meet accounting and tax obligations. Records required for bookkeeping are kept for 5 years per Danish law; your generated report and birth details are kept for as long as your account/order is active, or until you ask us to delete.
• We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed for these purposes.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data; correct it; have it erased; restrict or object to its processing; receive a copy in a portable format; and withdraw any consent you gave (without affecting processing already carried out). To exercise any of these, email support@astrowow.com and we'll respond within one month.

You also have the right to complain to the Danish Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk) if you believe we've handled your data improperly — though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

8. Cookies

The site uses only essential cookies.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and we work only with providers who do the same. No system is perfectly secure, but access to your data is limited to what's needed to run the service.

10. Children

This service is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, is always posted here; significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
